SEAM & REVEAL vs. other material routes

Manufacturing CO₂ per linear metre, across all standard face widths (100–300mm), based on verified billet EPD data, IAI regional data and published sheet EPDs. Our UK-manufactured channels — extruded from recycled billet — deliver up to 92% lower CO₂ versus channels made from virgin Chinese billet, and up to 79% lower CO₂ versus virgin European billet, on a full lifecycle basis net of the end-of-life recycling credit (Module D).

A&L Systems figures are shown net of Module D (end-of-life recycling credit): full lifecycle CO₂ = extrusion-inclusive manufacturing (A1–A3) + transport (A4) + end-of-life (C1–C4) − Module D credit, based on our billet's verified EPD. All other routes are shown gross (cradle-to-gate, manufacturing only), as no comparable Module D data exists for those regions or folded sheet routes — so those figures are not on an identical basis. Figures include powder coating; they exclude installation and use. Regional virgin billet figures are approximate (IAI / industry reporting). Middle East and China sheet figures are estimated by scaling regional virgin billet CO₂ using the European sheet-to-billet ratio. Full assumptions, sources and calculations are available on request.

Cortizo Infinity® billet — third-party verified.

SEAM and REVEAL are extruded from Cortizo Infinity® aluminium billet, extruded from 100% recycled aluminium billet (per manufacturer certification). The billet carries a product-specific Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), externally verified to ISO 14025 and EN 15804+A2:2020 — the same standard required for BREEAM Mat 02 and LEED MRc environmental product credits.

Billet-level figures are drawn directly from the third-party verified Cortizo Infinity EPD. Per-metre product figures are calculated by A&L Systems from that billet data plus extrusion, powder-coating and profile-geometry assumptions (25% extrusion process uplift per Hydro Aluminum Extrusions EPD methodology; coating per Climatiq / AusLCI dataset). These product-level calculations are A&L's own figures and have not themselves been through third-party EPD verification. Confirm current BREEAM / LEED scoring with your assessor.
